We have located a couple of epic monster wave spots ready for some surfing when the storm swells start arriving in Fall and there are plenty of sweet point breaks for more mellow summer swells.
Offshore Maine offers some great spots for kitesurfing in flat water, waves and our speciality, downwinders from island to island. Average yearly windspeeds of 14knts makes offshore Maine one of the worlds undiscovered kitesurf locations.
Stormboarding's 60ft expedition yacht, American Promise, was designed for round the world sailing and is a perfect platform for surfing and kitesurfing these remote and uninhabited ledges and islands. She has comfy cabins for up to 6 guests and enough deckspace for all of your toys. We have SUP'S, longboards, mini-mals, shortboards, and an inflatable tender to deliver you to the beach or break. You can be as chill or extreme as you want, but one thing we guareente is fun.
Rachael and James will be your Coast Guard licensed captains, both have 20 years of offshore sailing experience and have kitesurfed and surfed great spots from New Zealand to Maine. You will sail to and stay in some of the most secluded beautiful anchorages in North America, We hope you like to eat Lobster!!! We will have lobster bakes on the beach, and watch whales and seals swim by.
