Check out these people and products - Stormboarding trusts them
Over the last several years, we have tried and tested a lot of gear. And we have worked with a lot of people. Following are some of our highest endorsements, products and people we feel good about recommending and who sell gear we do not as well as some people we think who deserve some attention. This list is not made frivolously, if you have any trouble with any of the below, please tell us... and even better, if you agree, tell us that too.
Rachael switched to Dynafit AT boots, bindings and skis and saved 5 pounds per foot. That translates into hours more energy for a day of teaching and snowkiting with zero loss in performance compared to traditional alpine gear. And, the gear allows us to free heel up mountains (when there is no wind) and click in for the full alpine, high DIN performance downhill. The bindings are easy to get in and out of and everything is extremely well made and fits and works together. This gear gets our highest recommendation for anyone looking for extremely versatile snowkite/alpine gear that is top of the line in low weight and performance.

To Stay or Do
For the clean, simple, cookies before bed approach try the Best Western Windjammer Inn. They are a few minutes from downtown Burlington and around 20 minutes from the riding site. There is a pool and a continental breakfast and 2 good dining choices right on site. They will be extending our riders a special room rate all season long: $79.99. To book with this rate, call Doug McSweeny at 802-651-0638 and tell him you are with Stormboarding.
For a full resort experience we are very pleased to be working with The Essex Resort and Spa offering an incredible rate of $175 - they even have a climbing gym, zip line and ice wall on site. Snowkiters will love to retire to The Essex Resort & Spa to enjoy the 25-yard/4-lane indoor swimming pool, massages, steam rooms, saunas, outdoor hot tub, lively tavern, cooking classes, exceptional food and wine, and cozy AAA Four-Diamond guest rooms – many with fireplaces. After a sound sleep and a stick-to-the-ribs Vermont breakfast, you’ll be totally recharged for another exhilarating day outdoors in Vermont. Call The Essex Resort & Spa at 800-727-4295 and ask for the special, discounted “stormboarder rate”! Email any reservation questions to [email protected]. www.vtculinaryresort.com.
